Matrix Medical Network, a provider of services to healthcare organizations, has taken space in one of IO’s data center modules at the Phoenix site.

In November, Matrix brought online infrastructure that supports its mission-critical corporate IT function in a portion of a module at IO’s data center. Rick Crutchley, VP of western region sales at IO, said this was Matrix’s primary data center.

“They chose IO Phoenix because it’s local and close distance to their office,” Crutchley said about the client. Other factors were the ability to purchase data center capacity to match requirements as they grow and a flexible service-level agreement that matches the company’s service level objectives.

The Phoenix region has a lot of players in the healthcare sector, Crutchley said. Healthcare is one of the major business verticals IO markets to.

Matrix is using three full racks and 6kW of power at IO Phoenix. The company provides multidisciplinary care management and medical assessment services to its clientele.
